Perspective Inn: A child

Perspective Inn: A child: He is always there, watching with his curiosity and dreams through the man he has become, it's what I used to be and what I will always...

A child

He is always there, watching with his curiosity and dreams through the man he has become, it's what I used to be and what I will always be in those moments of time. Sometimes these moments get displaced and the bliss comes back when I experience something greater than monotony which tells me that this was an age that will resonate throughout my life. I do not know if it is true, but in my belief everyone carries the persona of themselves as a child throughout their lives and it comes to life here and there. So, children are not only our future but our own link to a past that almost everyone cherishes.
Everyone is different in their innocence, in their tantrums, in their joy and in that playfulness that helps us let go. I love looking at expressions that come upon a child's face when one explores everything around, as it is one of the most original things you will see in this world. That feeling of freedom rooting from limited understanding of complexities in life and the earth will always live on. Fearlessness of consequence as that bit of impatience makes you forget that there's still quite a bit of the road still lying ahead of you.
I think though, as we grow we become mature in understanding how we need to keep life on an even keel. However it's weird how much fun a bit of spontaneity can bring, part of which has to be from that uncertainty of direction coupled with that feeling in your gut when you speed down a hill. When I look at a child I take a lot of interest because they tell you a lot about yourself. That 6 year old version of yourself is still peeking through from behind the curtains as the more grown up memories and ambitions carry out debate over your next step. Call him into the room, he might surprise the adults with his childish ingenuity.

Loving

We live and we feel based on what circumstances bring us mixed with whatever memory and insight we can fathom. The core of the human condition is complex because there are so many choices that have to be made every single moment. Think about it. Right now, your heart is making sure that blood supply reaches wherever its needed along with a thousand other things. The breathing reflex makes sure that you have enough oxygen in that blood to be carried to organs that need it. These are a couple of choices that our autonomic systems make for us without us even knowing, because its a big load off your plate. Some say that love is such a choice, I say that if there's a choice involved then it isn't love at all.
A lot of people in science identify love as being a projection of what you feel when a certain chemical is released in your body and the same kind of definition applies to happiness. For most, these two go hand in hand and why wouldn't they? when you think you are in love you feel that the object of your affection has brought a new color to the world, you feel high on that feeling and you want to keep that person around because of the way you feel. So basically our love is two fold to say the least. It's about how we feel from the beloved's presence and how they take upon the personification of perfection. At least until a realistic challenge slaps you back into the tug and pull of your mind and  you realize that love has various forms.
So, the people that choose to be in love because of a list that they like to check off in their minds will very quickly fall out of love when reality bites. Then there's the lust which can drive feelings of passion but that's usually gone after a couple of mornings, because humans are filled with base needs that fulfill themselves to give way to higher thinking. So what's the different between love and passion? well Love is the destination and passion is more like a mini roller coaster ride within that destination. Affection, compromise, submission, intellectual simulation and even anger are all little islands that make up the country called love. It's a grand concept, and it has to be a lot bigger than yourself if you truly want to know what it is to love.
Back to what I said. If there's a choice involved, then it's not love because you have to fall by jumping over the hurdle that you call your 'self'; so it has to be bigger than you. Choice goes out the window when you decide to surpass yourself because the fundamental ability to choose your Beloved is compromised as you cannot make a selection when you do not have a self. So, you love because  you are privileged with it or because you got very very lucky. It's about giving, not receiving. About being mesmerized and finally seeing that it is this process of totally loosing yourself which makes you a better you. You are in love because you aspire to be anything you have to be because it is the process of this 'being' that gives you that feeling of nirvana and complete satisfaction. You don't make it happen, it makes you happen.

Hello world, again

It's been a while, since I sat down and looked within to see what's up. Of course the flow of the poetry and spontaneous outbursts of rap continue. But this inquisitive nature that fuels my writing is just insatiable sometimes. I'm not a very big reader, in fact if I sit among well read people I usually don't know half the books they talk about. However, I do read; I read the signposts of time as we move through the highway of mortality. I browse through the endless thoughts that surface on people's faces for one second or another and that image sticks with me for a few seconds and then kind of evaporates leaving behind an impression that I'l discover later. Another thing I like to read, is myself.

Most people go through life without having to complicate things, But what do you do when the processes that make you creative are all wrapped around the complexities of understanding the surroundings? Well, it doesn't mean that everything has to be harder than it is for you than others. All it means is that the lens that you are looking through is a medium that sees that phenomenon in a light that is either not the shortest distance from one point to another, or its so wild and original that people just walk by it thinking it's not how its supposed to be.

That's the thing! who decides how its supposed to be?  A caliphate, a democracy, a tech-driven world of automation or a hermit's paradise where the quite does all the talking? In my opinion, we weren't meant to decide how something is supposed to be. Ever heard the line 'life is a roller coaster, you've just gotta ride it'? Well ya! but everybody experiences the ride differently and that experience tells you whether it was worth it.

That worth will then make you reflect on your direction and its just how we are; because the only thing we have any degree of control over, is ourselves. Of course, we relinquish this control on the basis of Love, hate, anger, insecurities, fear, misinterpretation and about a million other reasons. Ever think what 'control' actually means? To me, it means that for the foreseeable future if you are able to control an element/factor and the environment around it as well as its own behavior; it means that Alas! you are in control. Science comes to mind doesn't it? but its based on what we know today and not yesterday or tomorrow or two feet from where you are standing or even in a different timeline, so that's kind of out of control ain't it?

So basically, life and the world is happening on so many apparent and subliminal levels that even if you were in total awareness of it with full knowledge you'd see that chaos is a better controller than the most precise of machines. I'm not saying that putting things in order and organizing them is a small task, and not taking anything away from the world of technology we live in today. I'm just saying that core awareness is without the ability to subjugate 100% to another will without having some serious repercussions.

So here it is, today's message is:

"Try not to change others by taking control but empowering them with kindness"
